Session Information

We will discuss the challenges to be tackled and the support needed to navigate the changing climate that we will face during our careers. This is an opportunity to meet with peers, learn and share and contribute to the development of the Water and WASH Futures conference agenda to be held in February 2023.

Early career professionals can push the WASH and water management sector to think long-term to 2050 and beyond, to scenario plan and model and plan for a changing climate. For example, what will sea-level rise look like in coastal areas and its impact on water management? What will community relocation look like and changing WASH needs? How do we plan for these changes over decades? Let’s discuss the skills and resources we will require to meet the challenges of the future.

Speakers include Neha Shetty from Alluvium Consulting, Det Mouykeang from the Center for Sustainable Water in Cambodia and Tema Wickham from Plan International Solomon Islands.
